For more than five years, we worked with Linda Filby looking for our next home in Westchester. Linda is a consummate professional who expertly guided us through the process of buying and selling our homes. She was our advocate as both buyer and seller and was available at a moment’s notice with great response time to our questions and needs. With over a decade of experience in the field, she flawlessly marketed the sale of our home Ð from accurately pricing to attracting interest to creating stunning presentation materials that showcased our home to its very best. In addition, Linda is thoughtful and compassionate and only wants the best for her clients. Linda is a true gem in her field!

You get 3 standing ovations! Bravo. You are the Placido Domingo of real estate brokers. The best in the world! After much heartache, disappointment and a lot of time wasted with another broker, you swooped in effortlessly and took over with good humor, good judgment and good taste. Your assessments were right on target. Your advice was spot on and the impact of your new strategy was almost immediate and highly effective. The repositioning worked! The contrast between the bad advice on marketing and timing I received and yours was dramatic. I was stunned!

Your follow through was flawless and you made the process less painful for me and my family. In fact, looking back on my checkered experience in selling a house we had lovingly restored and raised our children in for almost 2 decades, I can honestly say I had fun working with you and you restored my faith. I had begun to believe there weren’t professionals out there like you. I can attest to your talents in marketing and strategic thinking plus your impeccable organization and follow through, the skills you brought to bear in selling my house. The evidence was in the fast results and ease of process.

Linda Filby listed my home for sale. She was the consummate professional from start to finish. She provided me with the current market conditions and therefore the appropriate pricing for my home. She did everything from helping me de-clutter, clean out, rearrange furniture and what she called “staging the home for sale”. The before and after was amazing! Once on the market she provided me with broker and public open houses. In addition, she kept in touch with me on showing scheduling and feedback. With a short period of time we were negotiating three offers to purchase. I was able to move on to my next stage of life and I am grateful for her hard work and dedication.

I find that looking for a home - whether you do it every two years, or once in a lifetime - is such an emotional journey. That said, partnering with Linda to relocate from Illinois to Larchmont, New York was a serendipitous gift. What I appreciated most was her sensitivity and empathy for finding the perfect HOME, and not just the right HOUSE. She listened to our needs and concerns beyond the square footage and room count, which was beyond comforting. There was something very “house whisperer” about working with Linda - she really “got it” in terms of which property needed a look-see, and which ones simply weren’t’ right. I relied on her knowledge and eye completely.

We spent time exploring the various neighborhoods and streets, toured the schools, stopped for pizza. This gave us a good feel for the spirit of the different areas. With a love of vintage, older homes, and restoration, we settled in on finding a Manor home. We were particularly impressed with the history of the homes along Larchmont Avenue (not to mention the trick-or-treating, the parades...) and while we knew this would limit the playing field of available properties, Linda assured us we would find the perfect home... and we DID!We visited our home the day it went on the market (I swear the angels sang upon entering!) and with Linda’s expert advice on making and offer, our bid was accepted 48 hours later. Linda was there whole-heartedly every step of the way. The rest, as they say, is history.

Linda Filby was recommended to us by a family friend when we decided to move our family from Manhattan to Larchmont. We began looking at homes in late Spring 2010 and Linda was amazing at making all our trips organized and well-planned. She showed us enough homes to enable us to become educated on the community without feeling overwhelmed at the complexity of purchasing suburban real estate. It was not long before Linda was able to understand what we were looking for and within 3 visits we felt completely confident that we were on the right track, and with her guidance we were able to secure an accepted bid on a home that suited our family and our lifestyle perfectly. More importantly, Linda struck with us through all the twists and turns that home purchase/ownership entails and helped us enormously with the details and information we needed to make the transition into our new home as seamless as possible. She clearly knows and loves Larchmont and is willing to work with her clients to get them into the right home and makes herself available for any questions and concerns that arise along the way. I don’t think we would be quite as happy and settled already had we not had Linda as our real estate agent.

We were so fortunate to have Linda Filby guide us through the purchase of our first home. We had not yet decided on our town and a broker from another town recommended Linda. We instantly liked her. She showed us around Larchmont and we fell in love with the town. Linda’s knowledge of the area and her relaxed and professional nature made us feel at ease with the daunting process. She is extremely attentive and makes you feel like you are her first and only priority. She helped us come up with an offer price by showing us comparables and answering all of our questions. We feel fortunate that we found not only a great broker, but also a friend. We have recommended Linda to many of our friends and everyone is equally pleased with her knowledge of real estate and engaging personality.

Linda is the reason we are in our new home. She knew what we wanted, emailed us the second it came on the market, and got us in to see the house before anyone else. Once we had the property, she came over and lent a hand figuring out what furniture to order, which was above and beyond the call of duty. She continues to send us listings to keep us abreast of the market. We recently told another broker who had a listing we preferred that Linda show us the listed property, which should give some indication of our loyalty as clients. We think it is well deserved. PS: Did I mention she sold our hold home and another property as well, after we bought our new home?

We would never have gotten our house without Linda Filby. She listened to what we wanted, did not waste our time with properties that were not suitable and ultimately did her homework to find us a house that really fitted our needs exactly. We were also able to view and make an offer for our place before the sellers even had their first open house. Even more importantly, Linda was an amazing resource for us after the sale had closed. Her advice and contacts helped us navigate our new community and find the designers, contractors, schools, and even babysitters that we needed. We love Linda, and would highly recommend her as an agent to anyone looking for a house - she always makes the extra effort!

Linda is the most proactive, knowledgeable, and cheerful agent we have ever worked with. She patiently assisted us for many months during a changing real estate market to find exactly the right home. Our requirements were unique because we were looking for a home that we could thoroughly renovate to our taste and lifestyle. The coop unit we found with Linda fit every requirement, including price. Linda is a full-service agent. She made sure that everything went smoothly with our purchase, including giving us detailed guidance and support during a complex Coop Board application process. After we closed on the home, she continued to help out by introducing us to architects, etc. for gaining board approval for our recommendations. We highly recommend Linda to anyone looking to purchase or sell in the Larchmont area. Linda is the greatest!

We spent four months working with Linda to find our home in Larchmont. We found her incredibly personable and down-to-earth. While we’ve experienced real estate agents in the past who seem to want to close a deal at a cost, Linda was especially patient, only encouraging and offering guidance when appropriate. Yet when it was time to close the deal, she operated aggressively and efficiently. We would recommend Linda to anyone looking for a home.

I am a local attorney, and I have been working with Linda and her clients for the last 5 years. Linda is a dedicated, knowledgeable professional in every sense of these words. She conducts herself with a poise and confidence that makes each of the parties feel comfortable with the sales experience. Linda guides the buying and selling processes along with personal attention to the details, and with warmth and compassion for every buyer or seller that she represents. Linda always answers or returns my calls and emails promptly. Her experience makes Linda a pleasure to work with because she understands what difficulties may sometimes arise. She usually has formulated the solution to a problem before anyone else has even become aware of the problem. Linda’s track record with sellers and buyers demonstrates that she is the best real estate agent in Westchester to work with clients in selling or purchasing a house.
